Medical Director
Dr. Virginia Cunningham
Dr. Cunningham’s passion for veterinary medicine began in her hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia, where she was actively involved in 4-H. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech before obtaining her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After several years of practice in Buffalo, NY, she returned to Virginia, where she has spent numerous years providing both general and emergency veterinary care.
Beyond her expertise in animal health, Dr. Cunningham leads a vibrant life outside the clinic. She and her husband enjoy swimming, gardening, and watching sci-fi movies while homeschooling their three children. She’s also brushing up on her Spanish and working with her husband to restore a classic 1970s Camaro! Her home is filled with love for animals, including two dogs, three cats, two bearded dragons, and a collection of rabbits and fish.
Veterinarian
Dr. Justin Sahs
Dr. Sahs graduated from the University of Mary Washington with his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry, and from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He is originally from Fairfax, Virginia but now resides just south of Richmond and spends much of his time being a dog dad to his adorable but ridiculous pup, Bubba. In his free time, Justin enjoys hiking, white-water rafting, and making some fantastic pulled pork.
Veterinarian
Dr. Angele Wu
Dr. Wu grew up in Taichung, Taiwan and has moved to Kansas in 2017 for her bachelor’s degree in animal science at Kansas State University. She has received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from both Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and National Chung Hsing University in 2023.
Dr. Wu just moved to Richmond, Virginia recently and has been enjoying her time exploring the city. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her amazing pets (Kira and L), finding good brunch/coffee places, and traveling.
